Irish Football kicks off the 2012 campaign and the quest for Cathedral’s first ever 3-peat State Titles with two-a-days tomorrow. Just remember that games are not won on paper and that we are everyone’s superbowl. Meetings start at 7 AM.

New Documents Page Added
I have added a Semester 1 Documents page to the blog in the hopes that I will be able to post important documents, handouts, and other class related material there. As of right now I am still in the “tinkering” stages of figuring out how Dropbox and Google Docs work. Since I am still working on mastering this process (and it’s the first time I’ve done something like this) I’m asking those of you using the page to please be patient and if you have comments or suggestions I’d love to hear from you.
New Notes Page Added
Over the course of the year, we will be taking class notes in a style known as Cornell Notes. It involves the use of a left margin for writing main ideas in the form of questions,
then answering those questions in the main body of the page in the form of notes. At the end their are conclusion/summary questions based on the main ideas that each students should be able to answer.
To go along with this particular style, after each day’s lesson, the notes will be available on this site on the Semester 1 Notes page. These could come in hand if absent, stuck on a problem of homework, or studying the material for an upcoming exam.
Less Than a Month
Believe it or not we’re less than a month away from the beginning of a new school year. Please, try to contain your excitement… Seriously though, I’ve spent some choice moments over the last month beginning to put together some reference materials, activities, and labs to follow the curriculum map Mr. Fogel and I created at the end of May. Over the next month we’ll solidify our plans, look for technology to include, and start building some momentum to carry us through the first few weeks of August. We’ll see you then.
