I spent the afternoon chatting with Dr. Brooks and Mrs. Barthel about using new types of technology and interaction in the classroom. I shared with them some of my insight on Voicethread and its many uses (to which you will become very accustomed) and they shared with me some really cool apps that you and I will be able to use over the course of the year.

With that in mind, as we get closer to the first day of school I will post some information on what apps you will need and practice using some of their features. Some of that information can be found now on the new page “For Students” listed at the top of this page.

I’m looking forward to experimenting with these new toys and working with you to figure out the best way to incorporate them in our class.
